The Musical Professions Union in Egypt has carried out an in-depth investigation with the singer, Omar Kamal, because of a video of him in which he appeared singing obscene and immoral words.

Tariq Mortada, the official spokesperson for the Musical Professions Union, explained that the incident happened at a private party a year and a half ago in the Mariota region.
The union’s statement said that the board of directors, headed by artist Hani Shaker, had decided to suspend Omar Kamal for a week, warning him in the event of a repeat offense, imposing the maximum penalty, up to and including suspension and cancellation of his singing permit.
Omar Kamal had confirmed in previous statements that he did not intend to offend festival artist Hama Beka in a TV interview with him after saying the latter is no good singing, explaining in a video of him on his official page on the social networking site “Facebook”, saying: I didn’t confuse anyone .. I mean you can’t sing, I mean maqamat and music , you fulfill a certain need.
Kamal said that there are members of the Musical Professions Union who cannot sing, such as members of the DJ, rap and monologue divisions, explaining that “not everyone is classified as a singer … and I am respected. all my life and do not make any problems. “
