Smartphone sales continued their slow and steady decline, down 1.7% in the second quarter of 2019, for a total of 368 million units, according to analysts at research firm Gartner.
These figures are down from the 374 million units recorded in the same quarter last year.
Samsung and Huawei, which are among the top five providers, posted strong growth of 3.8% and 16.5% respectively.

Gartner expects global phone sales to remain low for the rest of the year, with total end – user sales reaching 1.5 billion in 2019.
