South Korean giant “Samsung” on Thursday unveiled its “Galaxy S21” phone, which is compatible with fifth generation (5G) technology, while slashing its retail sales by hundreds of dollars.
This drop in prices is likely to start a return to “reasonable” prices in the smartphone sector as Samsung and Apple have been fighting for several years on the front of technological innovation.
The base model of this new generation of cellphones will be available for sale starting Jan. 29 for $ 800, which is $ 200 less than the “S20” phone when it launched last year.
The S21 Plus will be available with a larger screen for $ 1,000, and the S21 Ultra, featuring the latest technology, will retail for $ 1,200.
And the South Korean group has shed light on the display of the three phones on the technical characteristics of the photos and videos of these new smartphones as the main selling point.
The three new models, available for pre-order from Thursday, will be available in several colors.
In addition, “Samsung” unveiled “Galaxy Buds Pro” wireless earbuds featuring noise canceling technology, rain and sweat resistance.
