According to a new report from Business Korea, it appears that Samsung is looking to expand the list of customers it supplies with Exynos processors by adding Xiaomi and Oppo to Vivo in the list. The new report says we’ll see budget phones from two Chinese companies with Exynos processors in the first half of 2021.

According to the report, Xiaomi and Oppo are struggling to get enough processors to meet their goals of expanding production operations, so they turned to Samsung’s Exynos processors as a solution. The competitive prices of Samsung processors are also cited as the main reason for Xiaomi and Oppo’s decision to use Exynos processors.

Earlier this year, Vivo began its partnership with Samsung by launching the Vivo S6 5G phone with the Exynos 980 processor in addition to the Vivo Y70 with the Exynos 880 processor. Going forward, Samsung plans to officially announce the Exynos 1080 processor. for the next generation starting mid-range phones on November 12, it is expected to be used for the first time in the Vivo X60 phone.

We have also received reports that the Exynos 981 processor is currently in development, so perhaps these are the processors that will be available on Xiaomi and Oppo phones soon.
