International airports in Saudi Arabia for the second year in a row, despite the conditions of the Corona pandemic, continued to climb the list of the top 100 airports in the world.
This came with the announcement of the results of the International Skytrax Organization assessment, which assesses airlines and airports, in which more than 500 airports around the world have participated.
According to the assessment results for this year 2021, King Abdulaziz International Airport ranked first among Saudi Arabian international airports, ranked 50th in the world, King Khalid International Airport rose 36 ranks to become 58th, and l Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in 68th place, up 16 King Fahd International Airport ranked 87th after being ranked 91st globally.
In the Middle East region, King Abdulaziz International Airport ranked third, King Khalid International Airport ranked fifth, King Fahd International Airport ranked ninth, while as Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport – which is the Kingdom’s first airport to be privatized for for the second year in a row, it won first prize for best regional airport and sixth in the Middle East.
These results testify to the commitment of the employees of the Kingdom’s international airports to offer the best experience to passengers and to confirm the level of leadership and excellence and to move forward in the process of continuous development to achieve the objectives of the strategy of the civil aviation sector emanating from the national transport and logistics strategy and realizing advanced world centers, in addition to strengthening the efforts of the authority The General Directorate of Civil Aviation aims to raise the level of quality of services provided to passengers and to develop the travel experience at the airports of the Kingdom.
It should be noted that the General Authority for Civil Aviation continues to implement the comprehensive program to assess the quality of airport services provided to travelers at all airports in the Kingdom, which comprehensively covers all aspects of the evaluation of the services provided to passengers passing through the Kingdom’s airports.
