The Saudi Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday the continuation of distance education until the end of the tenth week of the second semester in general, university and technical education, according to the previous mechanism.
The ministry said in a statement: “Management’s concern for the safety of its sons and daughters, students, and their protection from the risks of becoming infected with the coronavirus, and the focus on continuing to their educational path during the second semester despite the circumstances of the pandemic, and after having studied the reality of distance education during the previous period, and forming Two committees of public and university education to assess, monitor and coordinate this with the Ministry of Health, in addition to the two successes of distance education through the Madrasati platform, and various educational alternatives such as eye channels, course channels on YouTube, the national portal of the ‘education, Ain, the application of virtual kindergarten, in addition to Continuing effective distance education operations in universities, colleges and institutes, which is considered a s access for education in the Kingdom. It has been decided:
1- Continuation of distance studies for all stages of public education until the end of the tenth week of the second semester 1442 AH, according to the mechanism in force in the first semester for male and female teachers, members of the administrative body of schools and education offices.
2- The day at distance school for intermediate and secondary levels begins at 9 a.m. and for primary school at 3 p.m.
3- The study takes place in university education and the general organization of distance vocational and technical training for theoretical courses, and in the presence of practical and training courses, in accordance with the powers of the authorities and councils concerned, with all health precautions and protocols reported by the Ministry of Health taken.
