The Saudi authorities have offered to release her in exchange for her denials in a video showing that she was tortured and sexually assaulted in prison, the family of the Saudi activist detained on Tuesday said.
His brother Walid al-Hathloul wrote on Twitter: "The State Security visited Jane in Al-Ha prison to sign an agreement stating that she would get her her graduation and that she would not have been tortured. "
The Saudi authorities did not react immediately and the Ministry of Information did not respond to requests for comment.
Hathloul, 30, is one of the leading militants currently on trial after their arrest last year as part of the crackdown on militants.
