Petroleum Minister Tariq al-Mulla announced on Tuesday that it had agreed with Saudi Aramco to extend the supply of crude oil to Egyptian refineries for a further six-month period starting in January.
The Saudi National Oil Company (NOC) began supplying crude oil to Egyptian refineries in November 2017 and regularly supplying refineries in 2018.
"The company will supply more than 500,000 barrels of crude oil per month from January to June," the minister told Reuters, without giving details.
In April 2016, Saudi Arabia agreed to supply Egypt with 700,000 tonnes of refined petroleum products per month for five years.
