Saudi Arabia qualified for the last 16 games of the Asian Football Confederation Cup in the UAE with a 2-0 win over Lebanon 2-0 on Saturday in the group's second game.

The first half ended with Saudi Arabia, scoring Fahd Al Mouloud's goal in the 12th minute.

In the second half, Hussein Ali Al-Mekhoi added Saudi Arabia's second goal in the 66th minute.

The Saudi team advanced their lead in Group E at six points and Lebanon failed to score last.

On Sunday, Qatar will face Qatar's RDP in the other Group E clash.

The Saudi team began its tour of the tournament by sweeping North Korea 4-0 to become the first victory of the Saudi team in the first game of the championship during the participation in the competition of the Asian Cup since 23 years, more precisely since the 1996 version presented by the United Arab Emirates.

It's also the third victory for the Saudi team in the first ten games to date in the Asian Cup.

This comes at a time when Lebanon lost 2-0 to Qatar in the first round of the group stage.

The two teams have never met in the Asian Cup, but have participated in many other official events such as qualifying for the World Cup and the World Cup, apart from friendly matches.

Saudi Arabia hopes to win the continental title for the fourth time in its history and for the first time since the 1996 edition.
