He said the number of vaccine doses supplied to Saudi Arabia has so far reached 178,337, adding: “We are among the best countries to resist this pandemic.”

He stressed that regardless of whether the first or second dose is taken, precautionary measures should be maintained and masks should not be removed, explaining that immunity peaks two weeks after taking the second dose. .

A spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Health confirmed that no health problems had been detected for those who had received the vaccine, stressing that it was safe.

On December 17, Saudi Arabia launched a mass vaccination campaign for the population of the Kingdom against Coronavirus infection, with a vaccine developed by the American “Pfizer” and the German company “Biontech”.
