SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea's Samsung Electronics Corp. (NYSE: SOM) today unveiled a new smartphone that will be deployed in April with Facebook and Alfabet apps designed specifically for the new phone.
The company also unveiled the Galaxy S10 5G and three other Galaxy S10 phones.
One of the highlights is the fifth generation Galaxy S10 5G, one of the biggest and most popular for phones not folding.
The Samsung Galaxy phone will be priced at US $ 1980 when it goes on sale April 26, officials said Samsung.
The display of the new phone will be 4.6 inches when folded and up to 7.3 inches when stretched.
Samsung said that he was working with Facebook and Microsoft to find special versions of their famous applications tailored to the screen of their new phone.
The new device could help Samsung, the world's largest maker of mobile phones, face competitors such as Apple and Huawei, both of whom are selling smartphones.
Samsung has confirmed that it has developed new manufacturing processes for the handset and a flexible display that opens and closes hundreds of thousands of times.
