Google banned 29 photo downloads from its Play Store after discovering that these apps were sending explicit content to users, redirecting them to fraudulent sites, and stealing their own images.

According to the Trend Micro Protection report, many users, particularly in Asia and India, have made these applications, where ads appear in full screen when users open their phones.

Trend Micro said: "During our analysis, we found an Internet-based streaming video that is downloaded when you click the pop-up window."

The protection company has called on users to check reviews of apps before downloading them, in order to evaluate the assessment of these apps for a star, especially by legal reviewers, while fake reviewers leave a high rating of 5 stars.

Applications hide their icon in the menu of the App Store, which complicates the task of users to remove them from the phone. In addition, applications use tactics to make sure they can not be analyzed.
