Snapchat is introducing a new feature called Friend Check Up, in an attempt for the yellow app to make its environment safer for users.

Friendship of a Snapchat user means giving them access to stories, and even their location depending on the map settings.

Tech site “The Verge” says this feature can be a good way to help the user realize that someone doesn’t want to see their posts even though they’re still a friend.

The company tells “Snap” that the feature will launch globally on “Android” in the coming weeks and on iOS devices in the months to come.

If the user wishes to consult his list of friends before launching the feature, he can enter his profile and then click on the list of friends. From there, he can delete a friend by long pressing their name until the block and delete list appears.

Friend Check Up is part of a feature that Snap hopes to make their app safer and more user-friendly.

These features include services for parents trying to support their teenage children, and for LGBTQ support and those seeking psychological help.
