The conference will be presented by the Arab Parliament of the Council of the League of Arab States to the summit at its next meeting to be held in Tunisia in March. The initiative of the Arab Parliament to organize this important conference in extremely precise conditions, facing great challenges and the great difficulties of the Arab nation.
Israeli occupation forces continue their brutal aggression against the Palestinian people, their occupation of Arab territories in Syria and Lebanon and their condemned and reprehensible practices relating to attempts to erase Jerusalem's identity, promulgation of a racist legislation, and to challenge the legal and historical right inherent in the Palestinian people to establish its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, to refuse to abide by resolutions of international legitimacy and to reject the Arab peace initiative .
The conference comes at a time when Arab national security is facing increasing challenges for the Arab nation, where some Arab countries are witnessing wars, internal strife and instability, asphyxiation crises and Other interventions in their internal affairs in order to destabilize their security and stability. And the training, sponsorship and support of militias and armed groups within the Arab states, to weaken their authority and to break the unity of their societies, or to send military forces in Arab countries under the pretext of fighting terrorist groups and preserving their national security.
The Arab Parliament sees Arab solidarity as the cornerstone and the best way to deal with these serious problems. Syria and Libya need urgent Arab action to resolve the situation in these two countries in accordance with an Arab plan that moves them from a state of conflict and disintegration to a state of security and stability guaranteeing their sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Arab Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen is one of the success stories of Arab solidarity: Saudi Arabia formed an Arab alliance to preserve legitimate state institutions in Yemen after the Houthi group reversed the results of the national dialogue and forcibly seized state institutions and weapons. He became under his influence and the Houthi group began to threaten the neighboring countries of Yemen. The Arab coalition has failed the Iranian project in Yemen, which aimed to install a pro-Iranian government to use its aggressive and subversive plans to destabilize the Gulf states, to control shipping routes and international trade in the Strait of Armenia. Hormuz in the Arabian Gulf and Bab al-Mandab in the Red Sea.
The Arab Parliament says that Arab solidarity has become a necessity, especially after the escalation of negative interventions in the internal affairs of Arab countries and accompanying media campaigns aimed at overthrowing Arab or Arab regimes. to undermine the prestige and reputation of Arab leaders. And to address the attempts of weakening or disintegration.
Arab solidarity is the decisive instrument for combating terrorism by adopting common Arab policies and plans, confronting terrorist organizations and groups, eliminating the environment and the conditions that allowed these organizations to be born and thwarted. their destructive and destructive role that undermines states and compromises their security and stability.
In these circumstances, the Arab Parliament believes that the most effective solution to all these problems lies in Arab solidarity, based on the following principles:
– A just and comprehensive peace is a strategic choice for the Arab States: the precondition for this achievement is to put an end to the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories and to create an independent Palestinian State, with Jerusalem as its capital.
– Support the Arab States in their inalienable right to restore their occupied territories by any means possible.
– Respect for the sovereignty of the Arab States and the regimes in force, in accordance with their constitution, and non-interference in their internal affairs.
– Not to adopt positions or policies that threaten the security and stability of the Arab States or Arab national security.
