Sony Announces IMX586 Sensitive Camera with 48 Megapixel Resolution

Comes with a resolution of 40 megapixels on the Huawei P20 Pro.

If you check Mo Smartphone Features, you have probably noticed that many smart phone cameras are using Sony sensors, which today announced the latest CMOS sensors.

The Japanese company announced Monday the IMX586 48 megapixel sensor, the size of each is 0.8 microns. The availability of smartphones will begin in early September.

Sony said in a press release that the increase in the number of pixels would allow higher quality images even if the phone uses digital zoom technology, thanks to the Bayer Quad Pixel order × 2. This means that in most cases, the sensor will combine 4 pixels together to provide 12 megapixel image quality with large 1.6 micron pixels.

The new Sony Sensitive comes with a 40-megapixel phone in the Huawei P20 Pro, which also provides the Quad Bair 2 × 2 pixel layout.
