Reeder plans to launch the P13 Lite, the first smartphone produced at its Samson Black Sea plant, with the approval of the ICTA,. The new smartphone is to be sold in Romania, Dubai, African countries and the local market.
The P13Lite comes after the F1 phone factory inaugurated by Reeder in Samsun last year with a staff of 180 people.
"The company has begun production of the first product in the P13 Light series," said Ryder-Samson, general manager of the operations center, Younis Hakan Binoz.
"The phone uses the Android 8.1 operating system, which allows it to run very quickly," he said. "This gives us great speed and reliability because it is the latest version." Originally, about 250 devices a day will be produced from this model and about 70,000 a year.
The P13 Light is the first smartphone to be manufactured after the F1 model, which primarily targets seniors, children and businesses. "This is the first smart phone we manufacture here. This local product will be accessible to all.I think it will have a large market share because of its features."
"This facility opened in May and it is important for me to quickly enter the market within one year," he said.
The phone features the latest 5-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera with 5.7-inch display, 1GB of RAM, expandable internal memory with 16GB of storage capacity and a battery of two thousand 500 mAh.
