The General Authority of Sport announced that the inquiry commission set up by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Faisal, chairman of the commission to examine the grounds of King Fahd International Stadium, had taken his functions under the presidency of Abdul-Ilah al-Dalak, Deputy President, and had exposed the reality of the stadium and all that related thereto. The committee felt that the problem was not limited to King Fahd Stadium, but that Prince Faisal Stadium had the same mistakes, which would delay preparations until February 5th. It will rehabilitate the King Fahd Stadium in 20 days.
Accordingly, the Committee has submitted its report on this subject to the Chairman of the Authority's Administrative Board, supported by the report of the Bureau of an international consultant specializing in stadiums and culture. Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal has made the following resolutions:
First: end the task of the engineer in charge of supervising the stadium and transfer it to the monitoring department in order to implement the discipline of the staff in order to insist on establishing the game of victory and the supporters on King Fahd International Stadium and assume responsibility for it, though not ready.
Second: Termination of the contract with the engineer in charge of the immediate planting of the stadium.
Third: Restructure the Technical Affairs Agency to fulfill its responsibilities and implement its commitments with the required quality and precision, define responsibilities and mechanisms of action and take appropriate measures to avoid the lack of performance , monitoring and supervision found.
Al-Faisal has begun to attract companies specializing in stadium culture and processing and to quickly utilize the required specifications.
In announcing this, the Authority affirms that it strives to meet all the requirements, to create an appropriate environment for the practice of sports activities and to empower the defaulters so as not to repeat the error or its occurrence.
