On August 12, NASA's Parker Solar Probe photographed the sun nearly 27 million kilometers away.
The main task of the probe is to reach as close as possible to the sun and touch its crown of fire. This unit is equipped with a protective screen that does not allow it to melt under conditions of very high temperature exceeding one thousand degrees.
According to scientists' forecasts, Parker Solar Prob is expected to approach 6.16 million kilometers of sun in the next seven years, the highest point of convergence.
Our @NASASun The mission, Parker Solar Probe, flies closer to the Sun than any other spacecraft before. It accelerates through the crown and collects unpublished data with four leading scientific instruments. Now it's time to start solving the solar mysteries: https://t.co/3WbedPsfJH pic.twitter.com/ndUz9uTRXg
