This success is not a coincidence, it took more than 25 years to reach the podiums, the technical team of the Egyptian junior handball team, who won the world championship at the expense of his German counterpart.

Egypt won the World Handball Championship for the first time after beating Germany 32-28 in their last match in Macedonia.

The crowning success of the junior handball team is another success, in addition to Egyptian handball, after the youth team reached third place in the tournament last July in Spain.

Egypt is one of the most competing countries at the Junior World Cup, which started in 2005 in Qatar.

The Egyptian junior handball team, led by Magdy Abou El Magd and assisted by Hamada El-Ruby and Hussein Zaki, has a precedent with podiums dating back more than 25 years.

In 1993, Magdy Abou El Magd, coach of the Egyptian youth team, won the world championship as a player with the youth team, alongside goalkeeper Hamada El-Ruby.

In 1999, Hussein Zaki, former Zamalek player and Egypt assistant in the Egyptian national team, was ranked third at the World Youth Championship as a player with Egypt at that time .

In 2001, the trio of Magdy Abou El Magd, Hussein Zaki and Hamada El Ruby, finished fourth in the World Handball Championship.

The years go by and the 1993 generation duo meets a 1999 generation player and plays the coaching role of the Egyptian junior team. The dream of achieving the World Junior Championship comes true.
