Stop the spread of breast cancer by converting it to fat

Researchers at the University of Basel in Switzerland have discovered that it is possible to prevent the spread of breast cancer cells by turning them into harmless fat cells.

Cancer cells are able to adapt and spread using a lane, but Swiss researchers have indicated, according to the Daily Mail, that a combination of a drug for diabetes and cancer is working together to convert cells into fat and prevent cancer from turning into cancer cells.

This process has been remarkably successful in the mouse experiment, but clinical trials of women are still needed.

The researchers hope that the treatment will be tested on humans faster because both drugs have already been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
