In detail, German researchers have discovered a way to increase the ability of sleep to protect themselves from a cold, which seems to improve the efficiency of some immune cells by increasing the chances of binding of viral cells and ultimately destroy them.
Researchers have focused their attention on T cells that attack infectious infections: when they monitor a virus-infected cell, they activate a slimy protein known as a "coach" that allows them to attach to the cell.

The researchers found that lack of sleep, as well as long periods of stress, resulted in high levels of hormones that seemed to block the transition process that helps stimulate the slimy proteins.
Many clinical studies have shown that people who do not get enough sleep are more susceptible to the disease after being infected with the virus, but this new study shows another way to molecules in which a deep enough sleep could boost immunity through cells called T-cells. It presents another mechanism with a unique description behind some of the supporting effects of sleep immunity.
