The exchange rate of the Syrian currency has recently fallen against the dollar, recording on Sunday the black market at the lowest level since May 15, 2016.
According to websites monitoring lira transactions in the informal market, Syrian currency was exchanged for the dollar at 639 pounds for sale and 642 pounds at the time of purchase.
The Syrian pound has approached its lowest level ever, reaching mid-May 2016 the level of 645 pounds sterling per dollar.

The Syrian currency rose in 2017 as a result of victories won by the Syrian army and, on November 30 of the same year, to 410 Irish lira per dollar.
It should be noted that the Syrian pound was exchanged at the beginning of this year at £ 500 and £ 2 per dollar.
