Tesla announced that it would convert its sales only online, in order to reduce the price of its "Model 3" to $ 35,000 (about 615,000 Egyptian Pounds).
The move to online sales has resulted in the closure of several stores in the coming months, the company said.
The company has more than 100 stores in the United States and dozens in other countries. Only a few stores will remain open and serve as exhibitors and information centers for the company, said Elon Mask, general manager of the company.
He added that the move to online sales "will help us reduce the prices of all cars by about 6% on average".
This will allow Tesla to reduce the price of its "Model 3", which the company hopes to enter the market, to $ 35,000. The company has promised this price, $ 10,000 lower than the current price, since the launch of the mid-size sedan in 2016.
Mask rented the idea of being able to buy a car online.
"You can now buy Tesla in North America from your phone in one minute and this capacity will soon be expanded around the world."
Potential buyers will also have a car experience before buying.
The company said it would refund the full price of the car if it was returned within seven days or a maximum distance of 1600 kilometers.
