He said that this forum was one of the major events organized as part of the support and strengthening of Arab-Japanese relations since 2009 with the aim of strengthening economic and trade relations and deepening the shared vision. as well as the renewed partnership for dialogue and collective cooperation between the two sides, welcoming Japan's initiative to hold this forum.

He pointed out that the volume of Arab-Japanese trade rose to 111 billion dollars in 2018, while it amounted to about 106.4 billion dollars in 2009 and that the main Arab-level trading partners with Japan are Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt.

He stressed that the agenda is full of topics that follow the changing economic situation around the world, including those related to energy and infrastructure, as well as future topics related to the characters. Japanese cartoons (manga) and marketing ideas for products and start-ups, to open up new horizons for cooperation.

He emphasized the importance of the role of businessmen in strengthening cooperation through increased investment and the creation of a favorable investment climate despite the major challenges facing Arab countries, which impact on partnership with countries and regional and international blocs.

He called for the intensification of meetings and communication between Arab and Japanese businessmen to enable them to explore the Arab and Japanese markets in order to increase the volume of investments and trade in the public and private sectors to achieve the most valuable partnership that benefits all.

The forum includes a number of activities, including a number of working sessions with the participation of a number of Arab and Japanese ministers and Arab joint action institutions and of the Japanese side to discuss areas of joint cooperation in many areas, including the diversity of Arab-Japanese relations, the presentation and promotion of investment opportunities, energy, the environment and infrastructure.
