Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Cairo Economic Torts Court in Egypt examines the lawsuit of the artist, Ramez Jalal, for violating the intellectual property rights of a writer.
According to the Akhbar Al-Youm portal, the Agouza Correctional Court referred the lawsuit brought by lawyers Salah Bakhit and Dr Hani Sameh in their capacity as lawyers for the plaintiff, the writer Hiyam Kamal, against the defendant to the court economic for competence.
Lawyer Hani Sameh said the applicant had attacked the moral and financial rights of his client, who originated the idea for the program< Ramiz Ramadan >>, and that the preparation team had contacted her and obtained from her the idea registered and subject to the law on the protection of intellectual property, and that she had not obtained its moral and material rights .
Hayam Kamal’s defense accused artist Ramez Jalal of committing crimes by circulating a work protected in accordance with the provisions of the law and putting it into circulation without the author’s prior written permission.
