Italian Ferrero, the world's largest maker of chocolate and confectionery, has suspended production at the world's largest Nautella plant, according to an article in The Weekly newspaper.
Production was suspended at the Nautella plant in Normandy, France, which is responsible for producing up to a quarter of the world's famous chocolate sales because of its "poor quality".
Ferrero has announced that it is temporarily suspending the production of its factory in Villiers Ecales, in the north of France, as a precautionary measure.
According to the chocolate maker "Nutella", consumers do not need to get rid of the product they've recently purchased because all products on the market are intact and free from defects, according to the report.
The temporary closure will allow the experts to carry out the necessary investigations on the quality of materials used in the production of Nutella, whose results will be known by the end of this week.
The plant, located in the north of the Seine in France, produces 600,000 bottles of Nautella per day, a quarter of world production.
The announcement came after quality control officials discovered a flaw in a nutella and chocolate maker, Kinder Bueno.
