The body of Italian-born professional Emiliano Sala was officially identified after being taken to the port of Portland on Thursday, police said in a statement.
Sala, 28, was traveling on 21 January from Nantes, in western France, to play his first match with English Premier League club Cardiff City when his plane disappeared from English Channel. The wreckage was found Sunday.
