Microsoft is working on a new important feature to implement the calculator in Windows 10. The open source application on the GitHub platform was developed earlier this month and so far this application has received over 30 shareholder proposals. According to a new report, Microsoft adds graphics to the application. This will apply the calculator on the Windows 10 system to the mathematical equation.
The addition of the graphic mode was actually the first open source proposition selected by Microsoft for implementation. The idea came from Dave Grochocki, a company engineer, who pointed out that this feature would allow students to study algebra.
He added that algebra is a crucial subject before students move on to advanced mathematics, science, and engineering. It turns out that it is also a subject where most American students fail.
It is not common for basic calculator applications to have graphical functionality. Therefore, if Microsoft decided to bring this feature, the Windows 10 calculator would become a significant advantage over other applications. This feature is under development. It remains to be seen how long the company will take before launching it on Windows 10. Additional information on GitHub indicates that this feature will allow users to draw linear, quadratic and exponential equations.
