During his career, the late Abu Bakr Yusuf translated into Arabic dozens of Russian literary books, including selected works by Pushkin, Lermantov, Gogol, Maxim Gorky, Kobrin and Sholukhov.
He also supervised the reprinting of the translations of the famous Dostoevsky novels and other classic works of the great pioneering translator Sami al-Darubi, as well as an extensive collection of Soviet writers, including Genghis Itmatov, Pikov, Markov and others. .
Unlike many novels and books, he translated several poems of Russian poetry, including works for Tochev, Prijosov, and Block poems, as well as excerpts from Soviet poetry.
It should be noted that Abu Bakr Yusuf is the first Arab awarded in 2000 as an Honorary Member of the Union of Russian Literature, in recognition of his great contribution to the rapprochement of Russian and Arab cultures.
