Saudi preacher Sheikh Abdullah al-Munif died Monday in Riyadh, the capital.
Al-Munif was a professor at the Scientific Institute and former chairman of the Imams and Muezzins selection committee of the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da & Wa and Orientation.
According to the local newspaper "Sabak", the deceased preacher was known for the "sweetness of creation and humility and the concern to search for knowledge and mosques and his employees through his accuracy in testing imams and muezzins in the Islamic business sector in Riyadh for over twenty years in the Committee ".
Al-Munif has participated in seminars and lectures on the Great Mosque in Riyadh and has set up numerous advocacy and orientation programs. He also participated in raising awareness of Islam in Hajj and Omrah for years before his death.
Saudi activists lamented Sheikh Munif via social networking sites, stating that he "would pray Monday in the Babtain mosque north of Riyadh, while he will be buried in the cemetery north."
