Hatem Ali, born in 1962, is a Syrian actor, writer and director. He began his life writing for theater and writing drama and short stories, and graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 1986.
He began his artistic career with director Haitham Hakki, in the series “Circle of Fire” (1988), then continued his participation in dramas in which he embodied different personalities, ranging from historical and nomadic roles, to different lifestyles. and contradictory. He also directs comedies with artist Yasser Al-Azma.
Hatem Ali has also worked behind the camera as a television director, where he has presented a large number of television feature films and a number of trilogies and seven, and at an advanced stage of his artistic career he has presented an important group of social and historical series, perhaps the most important of them: Al-Zeer Salem, which is an important turning point in His career.
The deceased also presented the “Andalusian Quartet” and the “Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi” series was dubbed and presented in Malaysia, Turkey, Yemen and Somalia.
He has published two collections of stories, “What Happened and Didn’t Happen” and “The Death of the Old History Teacher”, in addition to writing screenplays: “The Night Visitor” for which he won his first prize as the director of the Cairo Radio and Television Festival, the “Al Qila” series and others.
Hatem Ali was preparing to shoot the film “Muhammad Ali Pasha” written by Dr. Lamis Jaber, produced by “Good News” and starring Yahya Al-Fakharani, and directed a number of series, including: “Rabih Cordoba “(2003),” Big Dreams “(2004),” Palestine Westernization “(2004),” King Farouk “(2007),” Orchidia “(2017),” Hell’s Stone “(2017),” It was yesterday ” (2018), “Is this what happened” (2019).
