Abdullah Al-Salem's lawyer has lodged a complaint against the Al-Nasr club with the AFC Discipline Committee. The club borrowed the player in January 2019 for six months at Al-Fayhaa, and then bought out his contract last summer, before the Al-Nasr management decided to get rid of the player. The player and considering the agreement to purchase his contract with Fayhaa 3 million riyals, is not binding.

For his part, Al-Faiha club president Abdullah Abanmi said in an "economic" statement that Al-Faiha's position on the player's issue against the victory was strong and legally sound, adding that the club's position was "strong". Former executive director of the victory, Ahmed Al Breiki, was concluding contracts. Al Fayhaa Club has the right to claim the value of its transfer to the world.
Abdullah Al-Salem participated in 24 matches of the 2018-19 season, scoring 4 goals and 2 goals, but the Al-Nasr administration ignored Al-Salem awards distributed to players, on the occasion of the crown of the professional league Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Cup, and has qualified for a quarter finals of the AFC Champions League.
