The Discipline and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation issued a statement on the points raised in recent days regarding the legal procedures relating to the claims of a number of clubs regarding the participation of players registered as amateurs.

The Committee wished to point out that the Code of Discipline and Ethics, in accordance with Article 125, stated that judicial committees may issue the operative part of the decision without giving reasons and that the party seeking to obtain the reasons the decision must make a written request within five days of the date of notification. Article 125 did not set a deadline for the communication of the reasons for the decision, leaving the discretion to the Commission, on the understanding that the appeal period runs from the date of receipt of the reasons for the decision.

The Committee explained that the mechanism adopted was the same as that described in the FIFA Disciplinary Rules, Article 116, and the CAF Code of Discipline and Professional Conduct, Article 111. Assessment of all that has been proposed or exchanged in recent days.
