The Egyptian Embassy in Luanda, the Angolan capital, today granted the entry visa to the Angolan player Geraldo Silva, who recently signed a contract with the club Ahli following a contract between the club Angolan and Augusto, accompanied by former player Gilberto, Ahly.

The Embassy of Egypt in Angola confirmed that the Ahli club delegation had been received by the Egyptian consul in Angola, Abu Bakr al Ashrafi.

Egypt's ambassador to Angola, Khaled Abdel Rahman, said the embassy wanted to support sports and cultural exchanges between Egyptian and Angolan clubs, reflecting the positive spirit of the Egyptian and Angolan peoples.

The new Angolan player Giraldo da Silva is the third contract signed by the Red team during the winter transfer period after the signing of the bilateral agreements Mohamed Mahmoud and Mahmoud Wahid.

Giraldo will not be able to participate with Al Ahli in this year's African Champions League because of his participation with the first August in the preliminary round of the tournament against the Congo champions.

The transfer from Geraldo to Al Ahly cost his club about a million dollars, contrary to what he received from the red leadership.
