Sources close to Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, revealed that the club's management had decided to end Gareth Bell's Welsh walk inside the royal walls.
The Spanish newspaper As reported that the president of Real Madrid had decided to finalize the final of the abolition of Bell after six seasons spent in the ranks of the team, following the decline in performance recorded during the recent period and the lack of participation of the Argentine coach Santiago Solari to the basic configuration.
The newspaper added that Peres would not reconsider his decision because of the lack of discipline of the Welsh over the recent period, which aggravated the crisis.
Perez thought that the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real would make room for Bell, led by the team's offensive, despite the character of the introverted player, in addition to not fluent in Spanish, and his arrival at rates worse than those of previous seasons.
He scored only 13 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions and lost his place since Solari took charge of Meringhi.
Real Madrid tried to do without the 29-year-old athlete in the summer of 2017, settling in Manchester United for Frenchman Kilian Mbabi, but the Welshman refused to leave and prevented the French star to arrive at the White Club.
Meringhi has decided not to renew the contract of the Welsh captain and get rid of the heavy salary burden, which amounts to 13 million euros per year.
Gareth Bell arrived in Madrid in the summer of 2013 and scored 101 goals. It was the best season in 2013-2014 with 22 goals.
