"It's time for Ramos to receive a yellow card against Ajax"
EU observers have therefore carried out investigations which resulted in the opening of disciplinary proceedings in accordance with Article 55 of the UEFA disciplinary procedure.
The charges include a charge against Real Madrid's central defender, who would have deliberately obtained the yellow card for his absence from the return leg in Madrid to enter the quarter-finals without cards.
The final verdict of the European Union is expected to be announced on Thursday 28 February.
If the 32-year-old is suspended, Real takes the decision to lift the penalty for his captain, who is one of the most important players in the team led by Argentine coach Santiago Solari .
