Against the backdrop of a Jeddah citizen shooting his wife in the bedroom, after promising her a romantic night, the Personal Status Court ruled to annul the woman’s marriage.
The verdict included the husband’s conviction for attempting to kill his wife while she was on her bed and in possession of an unauthorized weapon.
A final judgment was also rendered with a 6-month prison sentence and the court decided to set aside half of the sentence, to become 3 months.
