Al-Mulla also announced the launch of the first global offer for the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas for the year 2021 to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and to the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) via the portal in 24 regions of the Gulf of Suez. , Western Sahara and Eastern and Western Mediterranean.
The Minister appreciated the efforts made by the employees of the portal project for their success in completing the project 12 months after the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the petroleum authority and Schlumberger to establish the portal, as part of the activities of EGYPT 2020 conference.
Al-Mulla pointed out that the portal project is the first electronic platform of its kind in Egypt, and an important step in the digital transformation efforts and an important step taken by Egypt to reach a global level in the field of oil and gas research and exploration, as it aims to attract more investment through the availability of geological data and effective promotion For investment opportunities in a modern, advanced and accessible form for interested international companies to invest in the field of research and exploration, which will lead to an increase and acceleration of research and exploration processes, and thus achieve more discoveries and increase production.
During the events, 10 leaders of major international oil companies, including the Italian Eni, the American Apache and the German “Ventchal Dia”, signed membership agreements to the Egyptian research and exploration portal, before the effective launch of the portal.
