Jordan kicked off its Asian Cup campaign by beating Australia 1-0 on Sunday in the first round of Group B matches in the UAE.
The Jordanians (Alnchami) owe the victory to Anas Bani Yasin who scored the only goal in the 26th minute.
Jordan won its third victory against Australia in a five-match encounter.
Australia dominated the match for most of the match and had plenty of chances to win, but the win was finally won by the well-beloved Al-Nashmaa.
The first ten minutes of the game were held without both goals being threatened.
The first chance came in the 11th minute with a shot from Youssef Al-Rawashdah coming from outside the penalty area, but Australian goalkeeper Matthew Ryan put the ball in a corner with his fingertips.
The Australian team reacted with a quick attack that ended with Auer Mabel just before the goal, but Jordanian goalkeeper Amer Shafi saved the situation.
Over time, Australia began to dominate the match, subjecting Amer Shafi to constant pressure, but the Jordanian goalie outdid himself in all tests.
Contrary to the progress of the match, the Jordanian team took a surprise start in the 26th minute of Anas Bani Yasin, who looked up admirably on a corner kick shot to the left by Bahaa Abdul Rahman Sulaiman.
Al-Nashmi nearly added the second goal in the 29th minute after a Bahia Abdelrahman free kick, but the bar prevented him from scoring.
Australia has reinforced its offensive pressure to score the tie and bring the match to zero, and already had more of a chance for the team, but without being used optimally.
Australia failed to break through Jordan's strong defense and behind it stood the brilliant goalkeeper Amer Shafi, who ended the first half of the match with one shot franc.
The second period began with a more aggressive attack from the Australian team and Oair Mabel had to equalize two minutes later without the skill of Amer Shafi e who was pushing the ball with his fingertips.
The Australian team launched another quick attack that ended on a powerful shot by Aziz Bihish, but the balloon escaped from the net to Jordanian net.
Australian coach Graham Arnold made two changes to replace Joshua Reddon and Robbie Cross by Chris Necomidis and Chris Necomidis.
Jordan responded with an organized attack that ended with a Yassin Bakhit rocket, but the ball went directly over the Australian net.
Bitter was defeated and saved Jordan's goal from a certain goal by returning a shot from Tom Rogick out of the box.
Saeed Murjan was able to add a second goal to Jordan in the 67th minute after a volley in the penalty box gave him a touchdown shot, but goalkeeper Matthew Ryan saved the situation.
Jordanian coach Vital Burklmanns made the first change with the departure of Moussa Al-Tamari and the departure of Baha Faisal.
From his first touchdown, Baha Faisal almost added the second goal to Jordan thanks to a quick counter-attack that ended at Faisal inside the penalty area, but he fired a weak ball seized without problem by Matthew Ryan.
A goal was missing the Australian team 12 minutes before the end of the match after Mabel penetrated the ball superbly into the Jordanian penalty area and shot down a mighty but keeper deprived him of his registration.
Australia's missed chances in the last 10 minutes, the most dangerous of which was a powerful shot by Chris Necomidis, were the winner farthest off the line.
Jimmy McClaren scored a goal three minutes from the end but Omani referee Ahmed Abu Bakr Alkaf canceled the goal for the offensive.
Vital Burklmanns made the second change in the ranks of the Jordanian team Benazul Ahmed Al-Urasan and the exit of Yasin Al-Bakheet.
Substitute Ahmed Al-Gursan was able to add Jordan's second goal in stoppage time with a powerful shot but it was only a few inches from the Australian goal.
The last moments of the match were ready so that Jordan was no longer in the match without an answer.
