The board of directors of the football federation led by Hany Abu Reda, Egypt's full file to host the African nations in 2019, was sent to the African Football Confederation ( CAF) after Egypt had formally requested to host the tournament, in the context of Morocco's apology to the organization.

Major General Tharwat Sweilem, executive director of the football federation, said that the package sent to Al Kef included 14 stadiums hosting the matches of the tournament as well as the training of the 24 teams participating in the tournament, confirming that the tournament would take place in 5 governorates: Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia, Suez and Port Said.

He added that the stadiums of Cairo and Al-Salam had been chosen to host the matches, mainly in the governorate of Cairo, by choosing training courses, namely the Military College, PetroSport, Airsoft, Arab Contractors and the railways.

He added that the Ismailia stadium had been selected at Ismailia, the Port Said stadium, in the Port Said governorate, and that two stadiums had been selected at Suez: Suez Military Stadium and Suez Stadium of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
