The former Ghana Junior striker Agogo died at the age of 40

Agogo has played for 15 clubs during a 15-year career

The junior striker from Ghana, Egyptian Zamalek, former Nottingham Forest and Bristol Rovers died at the age of 40.

Agogo, who began her career with Sheffield on Wednesday, has played 27 times for her country, scoring 12 goals.

Agogo ended his career at Hibernian in 2012, having worked in the United States, Cyprus and Egypt.

Agogo suffered a stroke in 2015 and had trouble speaking, stating to a BBC documentary in 2017 that he was worried for his language.

Former clubs, Agogo played in the ranks, called the Ghanaian player on social media.

"I rest in peace, Junior," wrote Nottingham Forest on Twitter. "Nottingham is saddened to learn of the passing of former Junior striker Agogo."

The club added: "All our condolences to the club to family and friends Agogo right now sad."

Zamalek also cried on his official Facebook page about his former player.

Bristol Rovers wrote a consolation tweet: "Rest in peace, Agogo, the legend has scored 41 goals in 126 games, and our condolences go out to his family and friends at that time."

Sheffield Wednesday issued an obituary on the former player on Twitter, saying the club was expressing grief after learning of the passing of former player, Junior Agogo.
