The legendary Nigerian Emmanuel Amoneki, who played for Zamalek in the 1990s, led Tanzania to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in 39 years.
The Tanzanians have qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations organized by Egypt next June, beating their Ugandan counterpart Tuesday 3-0.
Amonike has been leading Tanzania since last year and managed to become the 12th coach behind Uganda, who had qualified earlier.
It should be mentioned that Amonike played for Zamalek from 1991 to 1994 before moving on to several European clubs, led by Barcelona from 1996 to 2000.
