Sanaa Nabil, granddaughter of Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum, surprised the jury of the Arabs Got Talent program by appearing on stage and performing the song "Afrah Ya Ya Albi".

In her presentation, Sanaa told the jury that her mother's grandmother's sister, called East Planet Um Kulthum, pointed out that the latter was her "model" in life.

Sanaa explained that she had started singing at the age of 9 at school concerts, and then had undergone training with Maestro Salim Sahab, currently a student at the Institute of Arab Music.

The members of the Arab Talent Talent Talent Panel, Ali Jaber, Najwa Karam and Ahmed Hilmi, did not believe that the competitor standing in front of them on the stage was Ms. Umm Kulthum's granddaughter.

The candidate drew the audience and the selection committee, whose members stood up to applaud her for the outstanding performance of the song, while Ahmed Helmi also received the Golden Bazaar.

Sanaa is not the granddaughter of Umm Kulthum, but the actress is the sister of her mother and grandmother. She is 16 years old and the song "Afrah Ya Ya Albi", performed by Kawkab Al Sharq, is one of the most important songs of her career.

Umm Kulthum is one of the most prominent singers of the twentieth century. She began her career in childhood and became famous in Egypt and the Arab world. She was named Lady of Arabic Song, East Planet, People's Artist and other titles.
