Scientists are getting closer to discovering the nature of life on Mars, where NASA's Insight probe aims to explore the red planet.
According to The Sun, the main goal of the launch is to find evidence of life on Mars and its similarity to life on Earth.
"What we do not know now, is whether there is life on Mars or not, and how similar is it to life on Earth," said Dr. Louis Dartnell , professor and researcher at Westminster University, who designed the probe.
"The kind of life we expect to find is unique cells or hard bacteria," said Dartnell. We will examine the soil samples and hope to obtain useful information. "
The Insight probe reached Mars on November 26, transmitting incredible images of the rocky terrain of the planet.
