WASHINGTON – Space scientists are discovering life on Mars as the spacecraft continues to dive into the geography and depths of the red planet.
The USSSA probe, arriving on Mars on November 26 after a six-month trip, began exploring the layers of Mars and collecting information about the planet.
The exploration trip is the 21st American exploration of Mars.
This is the first probe dedicated to revealing the secrets of what lies beneath the surface of the planets. It would take 24 months, one year after March, to dig deep down the planet with information that would help to understand how Mars, the origin of the Earth and other rocky planets formed in the inner solar system there are more four billion years old.
Dr. Louis Dartnell, who designed part of a vehicle used to find signs of life on Mars, said that there was a "very good chance" to do it.
