The aerial explosion in the Bering Sea near Russia last year was caused by a huge meteorite, NASA said.
NASA said that the explosion was 10 times more powerful than the atomic bomb of Hiroshima, the second largest explosion of the century, after the explosion of a meteorite in the Russian region of Chelyabinsk in 2013.
The explosion occurred in the last meteorite when it was only 25.6 km from the surface of the planet. It fell at an angle of up to 7 degrees when it caused contact with the atmosphere during the explosion.
The explosion was detected by US military satellites last year and the incident was referred to "NASA".
According to Lindley Johnson, the planet's defense officer of NASA, the fireball exploded near an airway. The researchers asked the airlines if they had seen any signs.
The December 2018 explosion was only 40%, compared to the Chelyabinsk Nizak strike in 2013, which injured hundreds of people during the blast.
The light of the explosion briefly overshadowed the sunlight, hitting nearby people burned and smashing the windows of the buildings.
