Ibtisam al-Shehri, spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Education, announced the launch of jobs named "school bus drivers" as part of the school transportation project.
Al-Shehri stated that the contracts signed between the Educational Transportation Service Development Corporation and the school bus operators do not include the determination of the driver's sex, which means that the contractor can use drivers to drive buses for students.
She explained that the requirements for applying to a driver or driver are as follows:
The applicant must be between 30 and 60 years old.
– Possess a public transport license.
– Get a certificate of absence of precedents.
– Pass the medical examination and the examination of toxins.
– Access to intensive training on the art of safely driving school buses.
Saudi Arabia allowed women to drive in the country more than a year ago, paving the way for jobs previously reserved for men, especially after the Saudi women proved their leadership.
