The monuments most at risk of drowning in the Arab world

The countries of North Africa, the Persian Gulf and Iran overlook the coasts of the Gulf, the Mediterranean and the Arabian Sea, and countries with a low coastline and large river deltas, such as Egypt and the ‘Iraq, are more vulnerable to the risk of flooding, with the catastrophic consequences they have on infrastructure, population, agriculture and freshwater supply, not to mention the cultural losses that will extend to some of the most important historical monuments that we know on the high seas
