The murder of a Sunni religious in southeastern Iran

A senior Sunni religious leader was murdered by unidentified gunmen in Sistan and Baluchistan province yesterday morning.
The Iranian IRNA agency quoted Deputy Governor of Khash City in Mohammad Ahmadi Bulagh Province. Shakur Kurd, a prominent professor of science and Khash Sunni University, one of the Friday prayers of Sunni imams in Khash, was murdered by unidentified people this morning in front of a mosque for Sunnis in the city

The authorities of the province announced that the funeral of the Sunni cleric would stand Friday "with the participation of different parts of the people ".
The incident occurs after the assassination of a border guard during clashes with gunmen in the same province Wednesday, about a week after the killing of three members of the Iranian mobilization in clashes with insurgents in the province.
The province of Sistan and Baluchistan have common borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan.
