The new design of the Google Play Store is now officially available to all

Google has officially launched today the new design of the Google Play Store for all Android device owners. The new design was launched for a limited number of users two days ago, but is now available to everyone.

The new Google Play Store design is based on the improved material design language that Google first showed us at the Google I / O 2018 annual developer conference last year. In recent months, Google has slowly and consistently incorporated the new, improved design language into all of its applications and services, and it is now time for the Google Play Store to undergo the same treatment.

The main change in this design is the relocation of the tabs. Previously, these tabs were at the top and were designed when the phones were smaller. However, these tabs are difficult to access in large phones. The new materials design suggests placing important tabs at the bottom, like on iOS, so that the main categories of applications are below. On the tablets, these categories appear on the left in landscape mode.

Subcategories are always at the top but are not used frequently, so they are considered less important. You can no longer scroll the screen sideways to navigate, which is fine, because the application already has many side controls.

Apart from that, the application is now completely white, with some simple colors added to the categories. Although this gives a very bright appearance to the application, the uniform white design makes it even more beautiful when it is blackened with the help of the "Dark Mode" night mode under Android Q.

Other changes are more subtle, such as space savings between the elements, the lack of division between elements, the increase in white space and the l 39; use of a new font, giving the application a sleek and modern overall look.
